A Warm Welcome to the School Year!

Dear Marie Curie STEM Parents and Community Members,

Welcome to a new school year at Marie Curie STEM Elementary! I’m Armando Castrellon, and I am honored to serve as your Principal for the fourth year. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of serving the Pasco community in various roles, including Principal, Vice-Principal, district coach, and elementary bilingual teacher. Some of my most rewarding experiences have been right here within the Pasco family.

At Curie STEM, we are dedicated to sparking curiosity, inspiring innovation, and promoting collaboration for all our students. We provide a high-quality STEM education within a school culture that values our students, families, and community. Our vision is clear: "At Curie, we will ignite, inspire, and empower ALL students to grow with purpose, passion, and pride!"

Our dedicated staff is fully committed to nurturing our students' minds, fostering academic excellence, and instilling key values like respect, integrity, empathy, and responsibility. These principles are the foundation of everything we do.

Our success is driven by Curie’s commitment to intentional professional development, the AVID program (we’re proud to be the only elementary school in eastern Washington recognized as an AVID showcase school), Dual-Language instruction, STEM integration, and our Curie3 principles of being respectful, responsible, and safe.

I want to extend my sincere thanks to our parents and community members who play an essential role in our school’s success. Your support, involvement, and partnership are invaluable, and together, we can create an environment where our students thrive.

As we begin this new academic year, I encourage you to stay connected with us through Class Dojo and our monthly Action Teams for Partnership (ATP) meetings. Our doors are always open, and we welcome your input, feedback, and participation as we work together to provide the best possible education for our students.
