Principal's Message

A Warm Welcome to the 2023-24 School Year!

Dear Marie Curie STEM Parents and Community Members,

I am thrilled to extend a warm welcome to the 2023-24 school year at Marie Curie STEM Elementary. My name is Armando Castrellon, and I am honored to serve as the Principal of Marie Curie STEM Elementary for the third consecutive year. My entire educational journey has been dedicated to serving the Pasco community, where I've held roles as a Principal, Vice-Principal, district coach, and elementary bilingual teacher.

At Curie STEM, we are committed to going above and beyond to foster curiosity, inspire innovation, and promote collaboration for ALL our students. We achieve this through a high-level STEM education in an engaging school culture that places immense value on our students, families, and community. Our vision is simple yet powerful: "At Curie, we will ignite, inspire, and empower ALL students to grow with purpose, passion, and pride!"

Our dedicated staff is wholeheartedly devoted to nurturing our students' young minds, facilitating academic excellence, and instilling essential qualities such as respect, integrity, empathy, and responsibility in each student. These values lie at the core of everything we do. Our success is made possible through Curie's unwavering commitment to ongoing intentional professional development, the Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) program, Dual-Language instruction, the integration of science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM), and our adherence to the Curie3 principles of being respectful, responsible, and safe.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to our parents and community members who play a pivotal role in our school's success. Your support, involvement, and partnership are invaluable. Together, we can create an environment where our students can thrive.

As we embark on this new academic year, I encourage you to stay engaged and connected with us through Class Dojo and our monthly Action Teams for Partnership (ATP). Our doors are always open, and we welcome your input, feedback, and volunteering as we collaborate to provide the best possible education for our students.

Thank you for entrusting our Curie STEM team with the education and development of your child. We eagerly anticipate another year of partnering with you in the pursuit of your child's success.

Warm regards,

Armando Castrellon Principal, Marie Curie STEM Elementary
