PSD Celebrates 2024 Team Pasco House Dedication

The Pasco School District (PSD) hosted an open house and dedication ceremony for the 2024 Team Pasco House on Wednesday, May 29, from 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 4705 Corinth Dr., Pasco, WA.

This annual event celebrated the achievements of students involved in the Pasco Vocational Building Programs and showcased their hard work and dedication in building a new home from the ground up. This year marked the 24th home and the 27th year of the program.

Laura Jones, Career & Technical Education Director, emphasized the value of this program for Pasco students, saying, "The Construction Trades program provides our students with valuable hands-on training and experience in construction, as the classroom is an actual job site. We are fortunate to have the support of many companies in the community who donate their time and talents to teach students all aspects of home construction. The student-built home is a shining example of the teamwork, talent, and tenacity our students bring to every challenge. We are proud to come together to celebrate their hard work and the incredible support from our community."
