Introducing ParentSquare: Our New Mass Communication Tool for Families
Introducing ParentSquare: Our New Mass Communication Tool for Families
We are excited to announce that the district has partnered with ParentSquare as our new mass communication tool. ParentSquare is replacing our current tool, Blackboard, which is being phased out effective September 30. This means beginning October 1:
- The PSD App will be replaced with the ParentSquare App.
- All emergency alerts (weather alerts, lockdown notifications, and emergency alerts) will come through ParentSquare via the App, email, and text, and there is no option to opt out of emergency alerts.
- All district and school communications and notifications for staff and families previously sent via Blackboard will come through ParentSquare.
ParentSquare is a tool for:
- Communicating to parents, staff, and community
- Sending mass notifications and urgent alerts
- Attendance notifications
- Teacher and classroom communications
- Direct Messaging with two-way translation
- Forms and Permission Slips
- Appointment Sign Ups (parent-teacher conferences, technology pick-ups)
- Calendar and RSVP
- Volunteering and classroom supply sign-up
- And so much more!
Families can get started by downloading the ParentSquare App or registering online. You’ll confirm your contact information is correct and then immediately have access to communicate with your student’s teachers and receive important alerts and information from both your schools and the district. Please sign-in using your contact information in PowerSchool.
